Overnight Infant & Newborn Care

Tailored Program for YOU

We work with each family to develop a program tailored to meeting their needs whether it is one night or as long as 4 months. You need not commit to a specific length of service. We help provide as little as one night per week for several months or seven nights a week for as long as needed. You may have one nanny the whole time or up to 3 nannies depending on how long you need. Although it isn't mandatory, and we realize sometimes time doesn't permit, however, we strongly suggest you meet with the nanny or team of nannies that could be referred to you during your newborn's early days. It's helpful for everyone to have had the chance to say hello and to get to know one another prior to our first night of work. Our goal is to have you and your family as comfortable as possible with NannyKins and the services we offer.

The Overnight Nanny

Nannies vary in backgrounds. Most are mothers themselves; however, others are grandmothers or college students or recent grads.  Some are nursing students or RNs. Although we are not baby nurses, you may have a nanny with a nursing background. All are qualified and love this type of work and work hard to make our clients happy.

All our nannies have received certification from the Heart Saver CPR for Infant & Children through the American Heart Association.  All nannies have completed a CORI background check.  In addition, NannyKins runs an infant care training class given by an RN three times per year and our nannies are asked to participate.

Our nannies will provide:

Coverage is provided for a minimum of an 8 hour shift (typically 10:00 pm – 6:00 am).  Extended hours available upon request at an additional hourly charge.

  • Feed baby(s) or bring them to their mom for breast feeding
  • Diaper changing
  • Sterilize bottle and breast feeding equipment
  • Wash/dry baby laundry
  • Prepare formula for the next day
  • Run/empty dishwasher
